We are looking for a mid to senior level part-time Web/Mobile Application Support Specialist. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that has a primary focus of making our customers happy by delivering value, without all the burdensome policies and rules that have become typical for outsourced software development companies.
*This is a part-time role. This position is work from home so candidates can be located anywhere in the US.
Pay range: $17.00-$22.00 / hour DOE

The Application Support Specialist is responsible for working with clients' to quickly and effectively troubleshoot issues affecting their applications. The goal would be 0% unplanned downtime, therefore, it is critical this individual is super proactive and that they have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to do root cause analysis in a highly complex environment.Quickly respond to tickets and support callsCoordinate with relevant relevant stakeholders to resolve issues by setting up calls and escalating when neededProactively monitor clients' applications to ensure they function consistentlyInterpret and disseminate application performance information to a variety of audiences, including support teams and internal leadershipPerform key tasks to hot-fix and enhance deployments to production and non-production environmentsExecute automated and manual smoke tests following maintenance and outage recovery periodsSelf-educates on new systems, applications, and tools, and requests guidance and training proactively
Requirements:2+ years in a web/mobile application support related roleStrong communication skills with the ability to capture and articulate technical and non-technical detailsExpertise with deep dive problem analysis using logging, ITOA, and APM products such as Splunk or AppDynamicsCan read logs to identify problems using tools like Rapid7, REGEX ExpressionsProficient with a wide array of data mining and messaging tools and techniquesExperience using source control and deployment tools, such as Automic, Jenkins, Git, and/or Puppet preferredWorking knowledge of middleware platforms such JBOSS, WebLogic, Tomcat, etc
